Conservative campaigners have checked urgent fire safety recommendations and are demanding action by Lambeth.
More than 9 out of 10 urgent recommendations have not been carried out. The promise by Labour Councillors that all fire safety risk assessments have been done is "meaningless", says local campaigner David Frost.
On 3 September, Cllr TIm Briggs and local Conservative campaigners David Frost and Leslie Maruziva checked the recommendations from a sample of fire safety risk assessments for Clapham Common ward, including the Notre Dame and Oaklands Estates, Clarence Avenue tower blocks and Narbonne Avenue.
The Clapham team has now written to Labour-Lambeth demanding urgent action.
David Frost said, "If residents back us next May, we will reform Lambeth Council. That means money from our Right to Part Buy policy to refurbish estates, build good quality council housing and ending Labour Councillors taking away secure tenancies. Under Labour, the worst rogue landlord in Lambeth is Lambeth Council."
